Located in Beijing, China, this home was specifically created to make the lives of the dog and owner simpler, without compromising on gorgeous design and a modern minimalist aesthetic. The basement of the Atelier Dog House is perhaps where the focus of this home best shines, as this space belongs almost exclusively to the pet. The floor features soft materials meant to be gentle on the animal's joints. Ramps and stairs are coated with a waterproof, non-slip coating. Two dog-only bathrooms are on this floor and were designed after architects made a long-term study of the habits of the owner and dog. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.1/10 - Popularity: 71% | Activity: 15% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Home](https://www.trendhunter.com/home) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Pet-centric Architecture:** There is an opportunity for architecture firms to specialize in creating pet-friendly homes that cater to the specific needs of disabled pets. - **Accessible Pet-focused Furniture:** Furniture designers can create pet furniture that is accessible, such as ramps and soft materials to cater to the needs of disabled pets. - **Pet-focused Interior Design:** Interior designers can focus on creating homes that cater to both pets and their owners, without compromising on design or aesthetics. ### Who This Affects Most - **Architecture:** Architecture firms can specialize in creating pet-friendly homes, implementing design elements catering to the wellness and needs of all types of pets. - **Furniture Design:** Furniture designers can create pet furniture that is not only visually appealing, but functional for disabled pets as well. - **Interior Design:** Interior designers can provide accessible design solutions that cater to both pets and their owners, creating homes that are beautiful, functional and comfortable. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Artful Doghouse Design Exhibitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/architecture-for-dogs-exhibition.md) - [Off-Grid Dog House Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dog-house-prototype.md) - [Ultra-Simple Unibody Dog Houses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-cottage-dog-house.md) - [Bauhaus-Inspired Mobile Doghouses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bowowhaus.md) - [Dog-Friendly Desk Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/agility-desk.md) - [Workplace-Friendly Doghouses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/barc-dog-kennel.md) - [Demure Dog House Desks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dog-hut-desk.md) - [Pleated Designer Dog Houses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/issey-miyappy-tessellations.md) - [Sustainable Dog Houses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/doggie-dreamhouse.md)
