Actually, designer Anton Kozhevnikov said the lamp's design was inspired by a little movie called 'Avatar.' However, I feel this movie gets far too much attention, so I prefer to credit our sweet condiment-making friend. Bees and aliens aside, the Atan Lamp is the perfect fit for any [contemporary designer condo](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sculptural-lighting-design). Probably the coolest feature about it is that you can decide just how bright you want it to glow by adding or removing the [separate "bee hive" components](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nest-lamp) to or from the base. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.4/10 - Popularity: 18% | Activity: 15% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Home](https://www.trendhunter.com/home) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Contemporary Lighting:** The Atan Lamp's unique design opens up opportunities to innovate in the lighting industry by creating new contemporary lighting options. - **Adjustable Lighting:** The use of separate "bee hive" components in the Atan Lamp suggests an opportunity for adjustable lighting options, providing customers more control over the brightness of their lamps. - **Nature-inspired Design:** The Atan Lamp's honeycomb design points to an opportunity to create more nature-inspired lighting solutions for modern interiors. ### Who This Affects Most - **Interior Design:** The innovative and contemporary design of the Atan Lamp provides interior design professionals an opportunity to experiment with new lighting solutions for clients. - **Home Decor:** Nature-inspired, adjustable lighting fixes have huge potential in the home decor industry by providing aesthetically pleasing, eclectic lighting solutions. - **Beekeeping:** Involving bee-inspired design and the use of honeycomb structures in lighting design may provide beekeeping industries an opportunity to innovate in other fields. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Hat-Like Fabric Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flying-lamp.md) - [Adorable Bee-Inspired Candlesticks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/beeinspired-candlesticks.md) - [Mushroom-Inspired Sleek Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lunar-lamp-concept.md) - [Hollow Candle-Like Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lampe.md) - [Ecological Dual Lampshade Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/air-light.md) - [Silkworm-Inspired Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/phantom-lighting.md) - [Calming Orb Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/orb-lamp1.md) - [Scenic Architecture Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/architecture-inspired-table-lamp.md) - [Honeycomb-Inspired Terracotta Walls](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/beehive-system.md)
