# Orbital Wrought Iron Beds The Astro Bed by Ciacci Embodies an Out-of-this-World Form By Amelia Roblin | Published 2011-09-06 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/astro-bed-by-ciacci References: [trendir](http://www.trendir.com/archives/005619.html) & [ciacci](http://www.ciacci.com/Classic/Astro) If you are looking to style your bedroom with an item that represents classic tradition and contemporary flair, it's worthwhile taking note of the [Astro](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/astro-lava-lamp) bed by Ciacci. While its outline might embody the rigid symmetry of conventional wrought iron designs, the indiscriminate network of tresswork within makes it distinctly avant-garde in appearance. An unusual aesthetic is achieved with the framework of the headboard and footboard. Smooth spheres suspended in arbitrary clusters are linked together with arbitrary bars. The image it conjures may remind the observer of chemical boding structures or the imaginary connections of [astrological constellations in outer space](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nebula-collection). Whatever you see in the Astro bed by Ciacci, it does seem to construct an eccentric and scientific impression which can pull [classically decorated bedrooms into the future](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/arnardo-desk). ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.0/10 - Popularity: 19% | Activity: 34% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Wrought Iron Designs:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Explore new designs and structures using wrought iron, blending traditional aesthetics with contemporary flair. - **Avant-garde Bed Frames:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Experiment with unconventional aesthetic choices, such as arbitrary clusters of spheres and bars, to create unique and visually striking bed frames. - **Future-inspired Bedroom Decor:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Combine elements of eccentricity and scientific influences to create bedroom decor that transcends traditional styles and looks towards the future. ### Who This Affects Most - **Furniture Manufacturing:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Embrace new materials and designs to create innovative and visually captivating furniture pieces. - **Interior Design:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Push the boundaries of conventional design concepts to create unique and daring interior spaces that make a statement. - **Home Decor Retail:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Curate a selection of futuristic and avant-garde home decor items to cater to a niche market seeking unconventional and bold design choices. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Vienna Straw Headboard Beds](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shiko-wien-bed.md) - [Chic Curved Bed Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bedroom-furniture.md) - [Celestial Sculptural Art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/orbit-collection.md) - [Fairytale-Inspired Bed Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/circu-mr-bunny-bed.md) - [Artful Four-Poster Bed Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/day-bed-installation.md) - [Relaxing Dual Leg-Framed Beds](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wabi-bed.md) - [Modern Comfort-Centric Rounded Beds](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/roundish-bed.md) - [Sculptural Outdoor Seating](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/orbit-outdoor-furniture.md) - [Bold Sculptural Furniture Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/orbit-and-axis.md)
