Unlike the traditional wooden floors used in school gyms and more sophisticated sports facilities, the ASB GlassFloor is versatile for different needs. Beneath its transparent surface there lies embedded a series of lights that change the size and lines of the court. This allows it to be used for different sports such as [basketball and squash](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/basketball-park). Developed by German company ASB Systembau, the ASB GlassFloor is comprised of an [aluminum substructure and a custom-made surface](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/oregon-episcopal-school) of glass, which has been tempered to yield ideal elasticity, friction and reflection of light.
