The works of art cleverly fuse hand drawn illustrations of every day options with animated video showcased on a [iPhone](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/iphone-x-galaxy) screen that is held up and used as part of the overall image. The pieces mix both traditional forms of art and modern modes of technology as a way to bridge the two mediums together. Ghosh's illustrations intergrade a slew of different materials to capture seemingly normal scenes through flat and moving images. The moving images are shown on an iPhone while the flat images are drawings done by Ghosh. The pieces showcase normal day-to-day activities such as making toast or looking out a window. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.5/10 - Popularity: 55% | Activity: 43% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Africa ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Smartphone as Additional Art Canvas:** Artists are utilizing smartphones as a canvas to blend traditional forms of art with modern modes of technology. - **Mixed Media Artworks:** Creative mix media artists are integrating various materials to create intricate and captivating pieces of art. - **Everyday Activities Depicted in Art:** Artists are capturing the essence of everyday life and activities in their works, creating relatable and impactful art pieces. ### Who This Affects Most - **Art and Design:** Art and design industries can leverage smartphone technology to push boundaries and explore innovative ways of creating and showcasing artwork. - **Consumer Electronics:** Consumer electronics industry can collaborate with artists and designers to create novel ways of using smartphones and other devices as a means for artistic expression. - **Advertising and Marketing:** Advertising and marketing companies can use mixed media artworks to create engaging campaigns that resonate with consumers and evoke emotions. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Contemporary Smartphone Exhibitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-world-in-my-hand.md) - [Artwork-Covered Smartphone Models](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tecno-camon-20-x-mr-doodle-edition.md) - [Painting Display Campaigns](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pointillism.md) - [Resurrected Used Smartphones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/project-afterlife.md) - [Co-Branded Smartphone Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/iphone-x-galaxy.md) - [Collaboration Artistic Smartphone Cases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/samsung-galaxy-accessories.md) - [Recycled Phonecase Art Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/journey-to-rebirth.md) - [Dual-Display Smartphone Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/iphone-vision.md) - [Surrealist Phone Cases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/salvador-dali-x-casetify.md)
