The installation includes a roof top lake, designed like an infinity pool, looking like you could row yourself right over the edge; a steel-plated “Life Tunnel” by Atelier Bow-Bow; a red fabric “Staircase V” by Korean artist Do Ho Suh and an inflated transparent fabric geodesic sphere named “Observatory, Air-Port-City”, which you climb a staircase to the roof and proceed to roll and bounce around while observers below enjoy the view. The exhibition runs from May 28 to August 25, 2008. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.6/10 - Popularity: 33% | Activity: 7% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Architecture](https://www.trendhunter.com/architecture) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Rooftop Lakes:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: The creation of rooftop lakes in urban areas could provide a unique and tranquil environment for people to relax and escape the city hustle. - **Psycho Buildings:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: The concept of constructing unconventional and psychologically stimulating buildings opens up new possibilities for architectural design and urban landscapes. - **Infinity Pools:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Innovative designs of infinity pools, such as the one featured in the exhibition, can revolutionize the leisure and hospitality industry by providing unparalleled views and experiences. ### Who This Affects Most - **Art Exhibitions:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: The integration of immersive and interactive installations in art exhibitions can captivate audiences and redefine the way people engage with art. - **Architecture:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Exploring unconventional and thought-provoking architectural concepts challenge traditional norms and offer new possibilities for sustainable and aesthetically appealing buildings. - **Urban Design:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Incorporating elements of surprise and psychological stimulation in urban design can transform cities into vibrant and engaging spaces that enhance the well-being of residents and visitors. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Optical Illusion Replica Artworks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/liberty-science-center.md) - [Skylight-Topped English Pool Houses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/malvern-pool-house.md) - [Permanent London Art Installtions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/infinite-accumulation.md) - [Artfully Made Floating Plazas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aquapraa.md) - [Vibrant Inclusive Playground Exhibitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/falling-into-place.md) - [Gas Rig Art Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/striking-art-installation.md) - [Wonderous Art Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/your-psychoacoustic-light-ensemble.md) - [London-Based Garden Roofscapes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/roof-garden.md) - [Swooped Museum Roof Planes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/suzhou-museum-of-contemporary-art.md)
