It is located in Sonoma County, California, and centers around a large redwood tree that acts as the support foundation of the home. It also has a [bridge with a single-step entry section](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/91-cedar-house) made from a black metal deck cantilever for more support. The product designer at Aristree Home, Will Beilharz explains to [Dezeen](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tubular-treehouse), "The design for Spyglass came from that whimsical childhood moment of turning a fallen leaf into a little tube to peer through. With a dynamic cut on either end, the cylindrical shape takes on the dynamic movement of the folded leaf."
