The Arthouse Cafe centers on the idea of moving triangles, using [three-dimensional triangle shapes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/polyshape-lamp) with openings to create a dynamic environment around the cafe's seating area. According to Dezeen, the triangular openings feature wooden frames or wood-lined recesses. Hong Kong-based designer Joey Ho created the space to stimulate "non-verbal 'dialogue' with the interior space." The moving triangles change the traditional concept of static space, in which "spatial and body boundaries between the café and users constantly blur," says the designer. The Arthouse cafe, which sits at the top of a three-story building, also features a [minimalistic interior with monochrome furnishings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/12-matcha-caf) that have triangular shapes that resonate with the triangular wall openings. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.8/10 - Popularity: 59% | Activity: 47% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Architecture](https://www.trendhunter.com/architecture) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Dynamic Geometry:** The use of 3D triangle shapes with openings to create dynamic environments in modern spaces - **Moving Triangles:** The use of moving triangles to change the traditional concept of static space in interior design - **Minimalistic Interior:** The use of monochrome furnishings with triangular shapes to create a harmonious and modern interior design ### Sectors Adopting This - **Interior Design:** There are disruptive innovation opportunities in creating dynamic environments with moving shapes and minimalistic furnishings - **Coffee Shops:** Coffee shops can create unique and immersive experiences by incorporating dynamic geometric designs into their spaces - **Architecture:** Architects can explore the use of non-static shapes to create more interactive and engaging spaces for their clients ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Building-Nestled Compact Cafes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chapel-cafe.md) - [Forest-Nestled Poetic Cakeshops](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/45-space.md) - [Artificial Textural Cafe Interiors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hahouse-cafe.md) - [Dynamic Layered Interior Cafés](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/caf-tondo.md) - [Modernist Art-Deco Cafés](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/watchhouse-caf.md) - [Concrete South Korean Cafes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nonspace.md) - [Cross-Influence Fusion Cafes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/challe-caf.md) - [Gabled Blackened Wooden Cafes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/harudot.md) - [Modern Museum Versatile Cafes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/corner-cafe.md)
