I love the contradicting elements in the Neiman Marcus Art of Fashion 2011 ad campaign. Although it seems to depict a damsel in distress due to the obviously out-of-commission car used in the shoot, there is a sense of freedom and independence as well that is shown through her carefree attitude as she lays there quite comfortably on the hood of the car.
Shot by fashion photographer Norman Jean Roy, Neiman Marcus’ Art of Fashion 2011 stars none other than Drew Barrymore. The distance from the camera as well as her svelte frame really make you look twice before you realize that it is really her. This marks the second time Neiman Marcus has used an actress in one of his campaigns. The first was back in 1994 with Jennifer Jason Leigh.
