Mythbusters created a Mona Lisa using this technique in nanoseconds at NVISION. I love Mythbusters (I fancy Adam) but even those who don’t share my taste in strange men have got to admit this film is darn awesome! All the online geeks are unsurprisingly getting hot under the collar about the ‘whys and wherefores’ of this, and the blogs are buzzing as to if it is technically done in 80 nanoseconds. I say just enjoy the film :-) ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.2/10 - Popularity: 36% | Activity: 83% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Paintball Portraits:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Explore new techniques and technologies to create detailed portraits using paintballs. - **Action Sport Art:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Combine action sports and art to create unique and exciting visual experiences. - **High-speed Art:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop methods to create art rapidly using high-speed techniques like using paintballs. ### Where This Applies - **Entertainment:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Incorporate action sports and innovative art techniques to attract and engage audiences. - **Technology:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop high-speed imaging and processing technologies for creating art in a fraction of the time. - **Sports Equipment:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Design specialized paintball equipment for creating detailed portraits, expanding the use of paintballs beyond traditional sports. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Painting Display Campaigns](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pointillism.md) - [Stylized Portrait Generators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/face-to-all.md) - [Festive Light Painting Techniques](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/light-painting-1.md) - [Immersive Fine Art Experiences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/la-joconde.md) - [Glass Beaded Intricate Artworks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/painting-exhibition.md) - [High-Frequency Paints](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/yolo-paint.md) - [Physics-Informed Digital Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/motion-sculpture.md) - [Ultra-Detailed Museum Initiatives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/night-watch.md) - [Paintball-Shooting Security Cameras](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/paintcam-home-security-system.md)
