People regularly reinterpret classic pieces of artwork, some by incorporating [pop culture figures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/surreal-street-art-1), and now some are turning masterpieces into art bikes. The Minneapolis Institute of Art is celebrating its centennial anniversary with Handsome Cycles. I'm not sure if a 100 year anniversary means giving art, but that appears to be what's happening here.

Local bicycle builder Handsome Cycles created three art bikes that represent three artistic pieces in two-wheeler form. This includes modern versions of the [Hans Ledwinka Tatra](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/leather-lego-briefcase) T-84 Four-Door Sedan (1948), Grainstack, Sun in the Mist by Claud Money (1891) and a 1969 Frank Stella Tahkt-i-Sulayman (Variation II).

Artisans and designers including Dirt Design Graphics, KNOCK, TREAT AND COMPANY and [Peacock Groove](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/portable-incense-holder) were commissioned to help with this artsy endeavor. Each of the bicycles is also fully functioning and ridable.
