The new 15-episode season will be available exclusively on mega-popular online streaming service [Netflix](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/money-heist-korea). What makes this resurrection of the show unique is that viewers won’t have to wait a week in between each new episode. Instead, Netflix will be releasing all 15 episodes of the show in one big lump, just like they did with Kevin Spacey and David Fincher’s House of Cards series. This means that a lot of eager Arrested Development fans will be going on a 15-episode binge on May 26. Even better than the news that Arrested Development is back is the fact that entire original cast is back, including Jason Bateman, Jeffrey Tambor and Michael Cera, among others. So rejoice, fans; Arrested Development is back, and anyone with a Netflix account can take part in the fun. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.8/10 - Popularity: 8% | Activity: 38% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Pop Culture](https://www.trendhunter.com/popculture) > [Media](https://www.trendhunter.com/media) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Online Streaming Revivals:** The success of Arrested Development's revival exclusively on Netflix shows the potential for cancelled TV shows to gain new life on online streaming platforms. - **Binge-watching Culture:** The release of all 15 episodes of Arrested Development at once highlights the growing trend of viewers preferring to consume media in large, uninterrupted doses. - **Original Cast Comebacks:** The return of the entire original cast to Arrested Development gives hope to fans of cancelled shows that they may see their favorite characters and actors return on an online streaming platform. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Streaming Services:** Online streaming services like Netflix can attract an audience and generate buzz by reviving and releasing new episodes of popular but cancelled TV shows. - **TV Networks:** Traditional television networks may face pressure to adapt to the binge-watching culture and offer alternative viewing options to compete with online streaming services. - **Production Companies:** Production companies may see opportunities to revive cancelled TV show properties by partnering with online streaming platforms and offering them a new home and audience. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Comedic Streaming Service Livestreams](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/neflix-livestream.md) - [Korean Streaming Sequels](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/money-heist-korea.md) - [Revived Retro Animations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stranger-things-animated-series.md) - [TV Streamer Companion Sites](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tudum.md) - [Streaming Service Sleeping Bags](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/netflix-sleeping-bag.md) - [Online Platform Cartoon Episodes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-pokmon-company.md) - [Video Podcast Expansion](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/netflix-and-iheartmedia.md) - [Customized Streaming Platform Features](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/streamberry.md) - [Streaming Service Brainteaser Games](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/netflix-puzzled.md)
