With that came the FFAT house, an entirely blacked-out home design. The FFAT house by Arquitectos Anonimos is a cool contrast because the front is entirely black and the interior is entirely stark and white. The goal was to not fight the surroundings, and to block the outside world. Take a look at this interesting black house design by Arquitectos Anonimos. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.7/10 - Popularity: 28% | Activity: 45% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Blacked-out Architecture:** Opportunity to innovate by creating architectural designs that use blacked-out exteriors for a bold and striking aesthetic. - **Contrasting Design:** Opportunity to explore designs that incorporate a stark contrast between the exterior and interior of buildings, creating an intriguing visual effect. - **Creating a Shielded Environment:** Opportunity to develop architectural designs that prioritize privacy and seclusion by blocking out the outside world. ### Who This Affects Most - **Architecture:** Architects can leverage the trend of blacked-out buildings to offer unique and visually impactful designs to clients. - **Interior Design:** Interior designers can take inspiration from the contrasting design of the FFAT house, incorporating stark white interiors to create a striking visual contrast. - **Real Estate Development:** Developers can capitalize on the trend of creating shielded environments by designing residential properties that prioritize privacy and seclusion. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Angular Black Cantilevered Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tallowwood-cabin.md) - [Blocky Stone Perimeter Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/forte-house.md) - [Compact White-Painted Modern Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/whitepainted-modern-home.md) - [Blackened Wooden Facade Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/centered-home.md) - [Spacially Contrasting Home Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/barwon-heads-house.md) - [Black-Metal Angled Holiday Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shadow-box-house.md) - [Apple Tree-Surrounding Glass Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/acdf.md) - [Cliffside Minimalist Retreats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aip-azia-villa.md) - [Dynamically Patterned Portuguese Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/087-house.md)
