The device brings together functionality with slick aesthetics. Focus is a hybrid device that acts as an [aroma diffuser and a mood lamp](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moodmist). The exterior boasts a black matte finish which contributes to the product's elegance. Additionally, the product is intentionally shaped like a scented candle, "an object that’s meant to touch those two senses"—the sense of smell and the visual pleasure of a warm glow, that is. Gian Luigi Singh's aroma diffuser also includes productivity features to assist individuals in their day-to-day. The gadget "follows the popular [Pomodoro](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aroma-diffuser-mood-lamp) Technique that advocates setting aside a fixed chunk of uninterrupted time for focused work, followed by a brief period of rest before starting the next chunk." These chunks of time are marked by a puffs of the diffuser.
