A regular Arnold Palmer is combination of [iced tea and lemonade](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/iqmix-iced-tea-lemonade), while an [alcoholic version](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/owls-brew-2) is typically referred to as a John Daly. So even though the Tipsy Arnold Palmer drink from Food52 might be inaccurately named, it still looks delightfully refreshing. If you want to recreate this seasonally appropriate cocktail at home, you will first need to make some steeped black tea with sugar and zest from a lemon and orange. Next, add some cold water, [Bulleit bourbon](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/browned-butter-bourbon) and lemon juice. Then all you have to do is cover, chill and serve on ice. You can also add a wedge or wheel of lemon for garnish. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.4/10 - Popularity: 33% | Activity: 60% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Drinking](https://www.trendhunter.com/drinking) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Summery Tea Cocktails:** Opportunity for alcoholic beverage brands to create innovative tea-based cocktails for the summer season. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Beverage:** Disruptive innovation opportunity for the beverage industry to develop new alcoholic tea beverages. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Spiked Iced Tea Lemonades](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/iced-tea-lemonade.md) - [Tea-Infused Botanical Cocktails](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hard-sipper-house-punch.md) - [Citrus Tea Vodka Cocktails](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/citrus-tea-vodka-cocktails.md) - [Southern-Style Hard Teas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jack-daniels-country-cocktails.md) - [Refreshing Hard Iced Teas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/refreshing-hard-iced-teas.md) - [Refreshing Canned Iced Coffees](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/coffee-palmer.md) - [Golf-Inspired Canned Cocktails](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fore-craft-cocktails.md) - [Canned RTD Tea Cocktails](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/owls-brew.md) - [Mocktail Tea Sample Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mocktail-tea.md)
