# Ferocious Feline Charity Tees Arm the Animals Creates Small Independent Animal Shelters from Funds By Erin Fox | Published 2013-01-26 | Social Good Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/arm-the-animals References: [roozt](http://www.roozt.com/index.php?vID=Arm-The-Animals) & [armtheanimals](http://www.armtheanimals.com/) When it comes to making a difference, Arm the Animals focuses on nurturing abandoned animals in communities which can't afford animal shelters. By supporting already standing facilities and even creating new ones, this cause works closely with taking a stance on animals rights. One can raise awareness of this cause by purchasing a t-shirt, sweater or button with cleverly noted depictions of furry animals equipped with dangerous weapons. Depending on your animal of choice, one can opt for a kitty throwing a grenade, a squirrel with nun-chucks or a deer with machine gun antlers. The shirts translate the attitude of fighting back against harmed and abandoned animals. Arm the Animals is a socially mindful business which aims to give back to a group of mammals that don't have a voice of their own. **Contact Information** Arm the Animals [website](http://www.armtheanimals.com/) Arm the Animals on [Facebook](https://www.facebook.com/ArmTheAnimals?ref=ts) Arm the Animals on [Twitter](https://twitter.com/armtheanimals) Arm the Animals on [Pinterest](http://pinterest.com/armtheanimals/) ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.9/10 - Popularity: 40% | Activity: 38% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: South America, Asia, Africa ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Social Good](https://www.trendhunter.com/socialgood) > [Social Business](https://www.trendhunter.com/socialbusiness) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Animal Rights Activism:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Developing innovative technological solutions to improve the welfare of abandoned animals in communities without proper animal shelters. - **Socially Mindful Business:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Creating sustainable and socially responsible business models that prioritize giving back to marginalized groups or causes. - **Graphic Activism Apparel:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Incorporating augmented reality or interactive elements into graphic apparel designs to raise awareness and engage consumers in social causes. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Animal Welfare:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Utilizing AI and robotics to automate certain tasks in animal shelters and improve overall efficiency in animal care. - **Fashion:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Expanding the use of sustainable materials and ethical manufacturing processes in the fashion industry, particularly in the production of graphic apparel for social causes. - **Technology:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Developing digital platforms or mobile applications that connect animal lovers with local shelters, making it easier for them to support and adopt abandoned animals. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Digital Dog Shelter Campaigns](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rare-breed1.md) - [Brand-Led Endangered Animal Programs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/endangered-animal-program.md) - [Model-Launched Pet Brands](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tate-taylor.md) - [Eclectic Cat-Specific Stores](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/triple-t-studios.md) - [Charity Organization Rebrands](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/humane-world-for-animals.md) - [Digital Animal Rights Platforms](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-humane-league.md) - [Wildfire Relief Apparel Lines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/clare-v.md) - [Endangered Animal-Saving Capsules](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/face-oka-earth-day-pack.md) - [Wildlife-Inspired Charitable Capsules](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/camp-aspen.md)
