Blending key elements from Le Corbusier's [Villa Savoye](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stempel-tesar) and Mies van der Rohe's Farnsworth House, the result is a striking residence that someone is bound to fund to bring to life. This architectural love child rests on stilts and features a wrap-around floor-to-ceiling window that allows people to enjoy the sights that surrounds it. Dubbed Villa Farnssavwater, it "features a McMansiony combination of [Villa Rotunda's](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/villa-sidonius) classic columns, Villa Savoye's pilotis, and Fallingwater's stone walls with a rooftop swimming pool," writes [Fast Co Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aluminum-outdoor-furniture), amongst other details. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.9/10 - Popularity: 33% | Activity: 17% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Architectural Reinterpretations:** Opportunity for architects and designers to create new works of art by blending and reinterpreting elements from existing architectural models. - **Integration of Historic Architecture:** Potential for combining key elements from iconic architectural designs to create unique and visually striking structures. - **Hybrid Architectural Concepts:** Innovation possibility in developing architectural love children that merge different architectural styles and features. ### Who This Affects Most - **Architecture:** Opportunity for architects to create innovative and visually appealing structures through blending elements from iconic architectural designs. - **Construction:** Demand for skilled construction workers and contractors to bring these architectural love children to life. - **Real Estate Development:** Investment potential in funding and developing these unique and visually striking architectural projects. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Understated Modernist Artful Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/child-studio-1.md) - [Organic Coastal Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/diachok-architects.md) - [Mid-Century-Themed Vacation Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bohlin-cywinski-jackson.md) - [Volcano-Surrounding Modern Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/leit-house.md) - [Nature-Rooted Family Retreats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/haus-am-lagnesberg.md) - [Modern Ruin-Inspired Californian Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/romick-house.md) - [Chalet-Inspired Showrooms](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gstaad-house.md) - [Organic Lake Retreats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/usonianinspired-lake-house.md) - [Design Collection-Honored Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hudson-lhouse.md)
