# Slide-Dividing Libraries Korean Architects 'Moon Hoon' Offers a Playful Room to Read Books By Tia Clarke | Published 2013-04-18 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/architects-moon-hoon References: [thisiscolossal](http://www.thisiscolossal.com/2013/04/a-library-slide-by-moon-hoon/) & [worclip.tumblr](http://worclip.tumblr.com/post/48145092324) Forward-thinking architects Moon Hoon have created this amazingly [playful home](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/onda-apartment) featuring an indoor slide for a lucky family in South Korea. The stunning design combines a number of designs to create a wonderland for these parents and their young toddlers. The architecture firm created a [special library within the home](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/library-tiny-house), which features a stairwell and an upper level viewing theatre. In the middle of all this awesomeness is a hand-crafted, solid pine slide. An excerpt from the 'This is Colossal' website states that the [Panorama House](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gourmia-panorama-digital-air-fryer) is "an action filled playful house for all ages" and attests that the grown-ups of the house enjoy the slide just as much as the toddlers do. Since the television is pushed away from the living room into a smaller, less dominant space, the best vantage point from which to view films is actually the attic space. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.9/10 - Popularity: 85% | Activity: 84% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Home](https://www.trendhunter.com/home) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Indoor Play Spaces:** Opportunity for businesses to create innovative indoor play spaces that provide unique experiences for both children and adults. - **Multifunctional Architecture:** Potential for architects to design multifunctional spaces that combine different uses and incorporate playful elements for a more engaging experience. - **Reimagining Home Libraries:** Disruptive potential for companies to reimagine traditional home libraries by incorporating interactive and playful elements to encourage reading and engagement. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Architecture:** Opportunity for architects to explore creative designs that integrate unique features like indoor slides, creating more captivating spaces for clients. - **Entertainment:** Possibility for entertainment businesses to incorporate indoor play spaces and interactive elements in their venues to attract a wider range of customers. - **Interior Design:** Innovative interior designers can leverage the trend of reimagining home libraries to create engaging and visually appealing spaces that promote reading and relaxation. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Sliding Wintery Landscape Bookshelves](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/manhwabang-bookshelf.md) - [Elevated Leisure Habitats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/elevated-leisure-habitat.md) - [Wood-Wrapped Contemporary Libraries](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/graded-school-library.md) - [Sculptural Inverted Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/a-house-with-an-inverted-roof.md) - [Modern-Updated Traditional Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/skip-house.md) - [Solo Flexible Study Spaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tiny-forest.md) - [Playful-Focused Polish Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/znamy-si.md) - [Children's Story-Inspired Libraries](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/western-academy.md) - [Hillside Family Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sky-house-1.md)
