# Architectural Fairy Tale Posters 'ARCHITALE' Features Ideal Architecture for Fairy Tale Heroes By Joey Haar | Published 2017-01-10 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/architale References: [archdaily](http://www.archdaily.com/803166/federico-babinas-architale-brings-fairytales-to-life) & [federicobabina](http://federicobabina.com/ARCHITALE) Though it might not be the focus of narratives, architecture plays an important role in many [fairy tales](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fairy-tales-world-kid-stories), and ARCHITALE is an [illustration project](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pavilions-of-wonder) that imagines the ideal architecture for the protagonists of various stories. The project is the work of Federico Babina, an Italian illustrator. There are seventeen different stories covered in the ARCHITALE series. Some of the designs reference memorable graphic elements of the stories, such as Pinocchio's house having a long, nose-like extension or the Aladdin house being shaped like the Genie's lamp. Other structures are designed such that they would have a real narrative impact. For instance, the houses for the Three Little Pigs story are all placed on stilts, with the implication being that the wolf won't be able to blow any of them down from his vantage on the ground. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.3/10 - Popularity: 53% | Activity: 37% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Fairy Tale Architecture:** Opportunity for architects and designers to explore and create themed structures inspired by popular fairy tales. - **Narrative-inspired Design:** Opportunity for designers to incorporate storytelling elements into architectural projects to create immersive and memorable experiences. - **Fictional World Building:** Opportunity for artists and creatives to bring fictional worlds to life through architectural illustrations and designs. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Architecture:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Building themed structures based on fairy tales to attract tourists and create unique experiences. - **Design:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Incorporating narrative elements into architectural projects to create immersive environments for various industries like entertainment and hospitality. - **Art:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Creating architectural illustrations and designs inspired by fiction to cater to the demand for imaginative and fantastical artwork. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Abstract Fantasy Home Exhibitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/abstract-fantasy-home.md) - [Equitable Fairy Tale Books](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fair-tales-by-odeabank.md) - [Fairy Tale-Inspired Residential Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/storyliving-community.md) - [Storybook-Inspired Fragrances](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mischief-academy.md) - [Modern Interpreted English Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/eight-gables.md) - [Architectural Toy Publications](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/barbie-dreamhouse-an-architectural-survey.md) - [Cartoonish Tubular Treehouses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tubular-treehouse.md) - [Spooky Interior Décors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/house-lamps.md) - [Surrealist Story-Backed Hotels](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/maison-heler.md)
