This handmade wooden cabinet elegantly conceals a full sized [classic arcade system](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/skeeball-arcade-games), while adding various [retro futuristic-inspired flourishes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/retro95) throughout. A glowing planetarium decorates the front of the arcade cabinet and the control board features a Saturn-shaped speaker with a traditional joystick and button gaming controls. The unit also features a fold-down cabinet top that not only keeps dust away, but also turns the machine into a minimal piece of home decor when not in use. Designed, crafted and assembled personally by Hultèn himself, these made-to-order arcade cabinets are limited to 50 editions and can also be fully customized with several add-ons available. Personalized color finishes, an optional built in sub-woofer, customized button layouts, and expanded game libraries are all available to order depending on the users tastes. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.2/10 - Popularity: 60% | Activity: 57% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Games](https://www.trendhunter.com/games) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Artisanal Gaming Systems:** Handmade wooden arcade cabinets offer a unique, personalizable experience that traditional gaming systems cannot. - **Concealed Home Entertainment:** The trend of hiding technology within furniture pieces provides a practical and aesthetic solution to modern home entertainment. - **Retro-futuristic Designs:** Combining vintage arcade aesthetics with modern technology creates a unique design opportunity in the gaming industry. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Furniture Manufacturing:** Collaborating with technology companies to integrate hidden systems into furniture pieces can provide a new revenue stream for furniture manufacturers. - **Gaming Industry:** Creating more customizable and personalized gaming experiences can attract a wider audience to the gaming industry. - **Design Industry:** Designers can explore the intersection of technology and nostalgia to create unique and functional pieces that appeal to the growing market of retro-futuristic enthusiasts. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Retro Arcade Cabinets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/class-of-81.md) - [Design-Conscious Arcade Games](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/arcade-basketball-game.md) - [Organized Gaming Storage Cabinets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bauhutte.md) - [Pillow-Like Gaming Consoles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/arcade1up-pacman-couchcade.md) - [Modular Arcade Gaming Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/polycade-sente.md) - [Arcade-Style Console Docks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mini-arcade-pro.md) - [Nostalgic 3D-Printed Arcade Clocks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/arcade-clock.md) - [DIY Arcade Game Kits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/thunderstick-grs-buildacade.md) - [Micro Tabletop Arcade Games](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mini-arcade-machines.md)
