The space is defined by stone accents that are blended with timber and board-marked concrete. Specifically, it is within a conservation area in Aberdeen within a dipped setting along the northern side of the area. Co-founder of the studio Andrew Brown tells [Dezeen](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/limestone-house) that "The existing coach house had been adapted and converted over the years, which unfortunately removed all original features prior to our clients acquiring the site. The fabric was in a poor state of repair, with the outer [stone wall](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/figuier-house), which we retained, being the part which was in the best condition."
