Designed after the aesthetic of an aquatic vessel, the bench looks like a cross-sectioned boat that has been placed on the stern on land. The bench is crafted from [pressure-treated wood](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tenir-bench) to prevent rot from occurring and has not been treated to allow owners to pick the stain color of their choice. The lower section below the bench offers [ample storage](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modern-outdoor-living) to keep cushions, blankets or other essentials on-hand. Although crafted mostly from wood, the Bosmere Rowlinson Winchester Boat Arbor Bench features a metal roof to protect it from rain or snow during wet months. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.8/10 - Popularity: 72% | Activity: 33% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Outdoor Vessel Furniture:** Opportunity to innovate in outdoor furniture design by incorporating unique elements from other objects. - **Multi-functional Outdoor Furniture:** Opportunity for innovation in outdoor furniture design by incorporating storage or other additional features. - **Customizable Outdoor Furniture:** Opportunity to innovate in outdoor furniture design by allowing customers to choose their own stain or color. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Furniture Manufacturing:** Innovation opportunities for furniture manufacturers to create unique and multi-functional outdoor furniture designs. - **Home Improvement Retail:** Opportunities to market and sell customizable outdoor furniture to DIY or home improvement customers. - **Outdoor Retail:** Opportunity to sell multi-functional outdoor furniture to camping or outdoor recreation enthusiasts. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Elegantly Airy Outdoor Benches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/arch-bench.md) - [Ultra-Durable Bench Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/garden-bench.md) - [Vibrant Outdoor Seating](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/metal-peacock-garden-bench.md) - [Repurposed Brick Public Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/brick-public-furniture.md) - [Naturalistic Public Outdoor Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/life-ark-outdoor-seat.md) - [Threshold Bench Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/torii.md) - [Comprehensive Wooden Outdoor Lines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wooden-outdoor-furniture1.md) - [Modernized Phone-Friendly Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/auburn-adirondack-chair.md) - [Sculptural Gravity Benches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/floating-bench.md)
