Mehmet Ali Gökçeoğlu is a homeowner from Turkey who created an extremely unusual fence around his gorgeous villa. The "aqua fence" is over 160' long and contains over [1,000 types of fish](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nereid-marine-habitat) from the nearby Aegean Sea. To keep the water fresh and crystal clear, Mehmet had a pipeline installed that spans over 1,300 feet. Due to the delicate nature of this fence, Mehmet has taken intense precautions to thwart smashing of this delicate structure, like installing security cameras with facial recognition systems. As long as their intentions are good, Mehmet encourages visitors to take pictures of his unusual fence. Perhaps this fence will be even more effective than guard dogs, if it was filled with piranhas -- that would certainly deter home intruders. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.6/10 - Popularity: 84% | Activity: 75% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Aquarium Home Improvement:** The trend of incorporating aquariums into home design for unique and visually stunning features. - **Unusual Fences:** The trend of using unconventional and unexpected materials for fencing purposes. - **High-tech Security Measures:** The trend of utilizing advanced technology to secure and protect property and assets. ### Where This Applies - **Home Improvement:** The home improvement industry can capitalize on the demand for innovative and visually stunning home design features. - **Aquarium Supplies:** The aquarium supplies industry can provide the necessary equipment and materials to incorporate aquariums into home design. - **Security Technology:** The security technology industry can offer advanced facial recognition systems and other high-tech security measures for residential use. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Live-Streaming Fish Doorbells](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/visdeurbel.md) - [Fish Lifestyle-Inspired Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/house-of-gills.md) - [Salmon-Spotting River Gates](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fish-gate.md) - [Rustic Ruin-Inspired Aquariums](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-sea-of-cortez-research-center.md) - [Comical Desk-Side Status Decor](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/work-fence.md) - [Iridescent Garden Decor](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/handpainted-school-of-fish-glass-bird-bath.md) - [Asymmetrical Ultra-Compact Pools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/faraway-pool.md) - [Bionic Fishing-Tracking Robots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bionic-positioning-fish.md) - [Impressive DIY Terrariums](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/diy-terrarium1.md)
