The positioning of the bubble allows for some water to come through to hydrate the plants, while simultaneously creating an air pocket to provide oxygen. The tank is a stylish geometric cube that can be filled with a bit of sand at the base and several small fish. The centre of the tank has a air bubble that plays with gravity to provide plants with the oxygen they need to grow. In addition, the cubic transparent glass allows consumers to view the fish and plants from all angles. The merging of plans with aquatic life provides the best of both decor styles for [small spaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/balconyfarm-planter). ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.4/10 - Popularity: 89% | Activity: 96% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Modular Fish Tanks:** Opportunity for creating customizable fish tanks with built-in plant growth systems. - **Hybrid Aquatic Decor:** Innovative designs that combine plants and fish tanks for aesthetic appeal in small spaces. - **Geometric Cube Aquariums:** Disruptive innovation in aquarium design with geometric cubes that offer 360-degree views. ### Where This Applies - **Aquarium Manufacturing:** Potential for manufacturers to develop modular fish tanks with integrated plant growth systems. - **Interior Decor:** Opportunity for interior decor companies to offer hybrid aquatic decor products for small spaces. - **Glass Manufacturing:** Innovative design concept may drive demand for specialized glass manufacturing for geometric cube aquariums. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Natural Moss Terrariums](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/petite-foret-plus.md) - [Impressive DIY Terrariums](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/diy-terrarium1.md) - [Compact Microclimate Terrariums](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/microclimate-terrariums.md) - [Demure Dual-Function Hanging Planters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/light-fixture-planter.md) - [Water Catch-Integrated Planters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hemisphere.md) - [Urban Food Ecosystems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/living-sphere.md) - [Aeroponic Desktop Planters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/izestee.md) - [Futuristic Self-Watering Planters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-klaustrafloria.md) - [Uniquely Shaped Self-Watering Pots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/self-watering-plant-house.md)
