# Recycling Bath Systems The Aquabox Shower by Massimo Brugnera Reuses Gray Water By Meghan Young | Published 2010-12-01 | Eco Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aquabox-shower References: [thedesignblog.org](http://www.thedesignblog.org/entry/aquabox-bath-recycles-water-drained-through-sink-and-the-shower/) Granted, the 'Aquabox' shower system may make you cringe a bit, but it is a great way to conserve water and exercise your eco-friendliness. The bathroom fixture essentially collects, purifies and recycles gray water drained from sinks and the showers, allowing it to be reused for different purposes. Designed by Massimo Brugnera, the 'Aquabox' shower features a built-in purifier that cleans the used water and then stores it in an integrated 80L tank. This purified water can be used to flush the toilet, feed your plants and more. The 'Aquabox' shower also features "adjustable rain shower, color therapy, sauna and internal lighting." ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.7/10 - Popularity: 80% | Activity: 83% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Eco](https://www.trendhunter.com/eco) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Water Conservation:** The Aquabox Shower demonstrates a trend in water conservation by collecting, purifying, and reusing gray water. - **Eco-friendly Design:** The Aquabox Shower addresses the need for eco-friendly bathroom fixtures by recycling water for multiple uses. - **Smart Shower Systems:** The Aquabox Shower exemplifies the trend of smart shower systems that integrate purifiers and storage tanks for water reuse. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Water Filtration Systems:** The Aquabox Shower presents a market opportunity for companies in the water filtration systems industry to develop innovative products for water conservation. - **Sustainable Home Design:** The Aquabox Shower aligns with the sustainable home design industry, offering a solution for reducing water waste in residential buildings. - **Smart Bathroom Technology:** The Aquabox Shower contributes to the growth of the smart bathroom technology industry, providing an eco-friendly and technologically advanced showering experience. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Water-Saving Bathroom Capsules](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bergvattnet.md) - [Water-Saving Shower Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/alu.md) - [Pressure-Sensitive Shower Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-shower-concept.md) - [Instantaneous Hot Water Showers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/heau-shower.md) - [Accessible Shower Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/accessible-showers.md) - [Intelligent Bathroom Bathing Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lg-smart-bath-and-shower-purifier.md) - [WiFi-Enabled Circular Showers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/circular-shower.md) - [Water Purification Shower Heads](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shower-head-filter-system.md) - [Water-Celebrating Art Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aqua-gallery.md)
