# Water Bottle Tableware The Aqua Jar Instantly Converts Recycled Bottles of Water into Pitchers By Michael Hines | Published 2011-03-22 | Eco Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aqua-jar1 References: [dornob](http://dornob.com/disposable-design-pitcher-adapter-for-plastic-water-bottles/) & [grlabstudio](http://www.grlabstudio.com/) I always have a bottle of water with me everywhere I go, so needless to say I was extremely excited about the Aqua Jar from GR Lab. The Aqua Jar is a clever little spout that attaches to the top of a water bottle, instantly turning it into a water pitcher. The Aqua Jar is great because it encourages people to [reuse their water bottles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/anew) as opposed to just throwing them out when they become empty. The majority of water bottles are used once or twice and then thrown out. Although a lot of people do recycle their water bottles, many more don't, causing landfills to fill up with plastic water bottles that won't begin to biodegrade for a very long time. The Aqua Jar encourages people to hold onto their bottles for a little longer by turning them into water pitchers. Water bottles are easier to fill than water pitchers and take up a lot less space in the fridge. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.8/10 - Popularity: 30% | Activity: 76% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Eco](https://www.trendhunter.com/eco) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Reuse of Water Bottles:** The Aqua Jar encourages people to reuse their water bottles by turning them into water pitchers, reducing waste. - **Sustainable Packaging Solutions:** The Aqua Jar promotes sustainable packaging by giving a new purpose to used water bottles. - **Compact and Convenient Storage:** The Aqua Jar offers a space-saving solution by transforming water bottles into compact water pitchers. ### Where This Applies - **Beverage Packaging:** The Aqua Jar presents an opportunity for beverage companies to create packaging innovations that encourage reuse. - **Home and Kitchenware:** The Aqua Jar creates a market for innovative home and kitchenware products that promote sustainability. - **Environmental Conservation:** The Aqua Jar aligns with the environmental conservation industry by providing a solution for reducing plastic waste. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Space-Saving Hydration Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flat-water-bottles.md) - [Pump-Integrated Water Bottles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bottle-bottle.md) - [Bottle-Free Beverage Dispensers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bon-aqua-water-bar.md) - [Multifunctional Drinking Bottles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/keepcup-bottle.md) - [Customized Smart Water Bottles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ocean-bottles.md) - [Widemouthed Stainless Steel Jugs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hydrojug.md) - [Powered Pitcher-Style Water Purifiers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/piurify-alchemy.md) - [Cleaning-Friendly Water Bottles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/breakbottle-water-bottle.md) - [Eco Filtration Water Bottles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/philips-water.md)
