# Fluffernutter Apple Nachos This Shareable Dessert Recipe is a Sweeter Variation on Classic Nachos By Alyson Wyers | Published 2015-09-29 | Lifestyle Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/apple-nachos References: [ohsweetbasil](http://www.ohsweetbasil.com/apple-recipes.html) & [insidebrucrewlife](http://insidebrucrewlife.com/2014/03/fluffernutter-apple-nachos/) These apple nachos are a sweeter take on the shareable pub grub. Instead of using [tortilla chips](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/doritos-notchos) as a base and piling on a number of savory ingredients, this version uses apple slices and dessert-like toppings. The Fluffernutter Apple Nachos recipe is from Jocelyn at the blog Inside BruCrew Life. Ideal as an appetizer, dessert course or snack to share, the treat is piled with marshmallow cream, [peanut butter and chocolate](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/peanut-butter-pie-made-with-reeses)-covered peanut butter cups. Jocelyn used halved [mini Reese's Pieces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/reeses-filled-pretzels) and creamy peanut butter. The nutty spread is instead drizzled over the granny smith apples. You can experiment with apple variety as well as toppings in this case. The result is an easy and quick dish kids will love. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.7/10 - Popularity: 26% | Activity: 46% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Food](https://www.trendhunter.com/food) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Shareable Desserts:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Create new and inventive shareable dessert recipes using unconventional ingredients or flavor combinations. - **Alternative Snacks:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop innovative snack options using fruits or other healthy ingredients as an alternative to traditional junk food. - **Creative Appetizers:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Invent unique appetizers that blend sweet and savory flavors to provide a memorable dining experience. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Food and Beverage:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Introduce innovative food and beverage products that cater to the growing demand for unique and shareable desserts and snacks. - **Restaurant and Hospitality:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Revamp menus in restaurants and hospitality establishments to offer creative appetizer options that appeal to adventurous diners. - **Food Blogging:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Create engaging food blog content that showcases inventive dessert recipes, snack ideas, and appetizer creations to attract a larger audience and inspire culinary experimentation. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [DIY Nacho Desserts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dessert-trash-can-nachos.md) - [Apple-Themed Superfood Offerings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/frutta-bowls.md) - [Autumnal Bite-Sized Apple Treats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/apple-cinnamon-bitz.md) - [Sharable Fried Cheese Appetizers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/crispy-cheese-bites.md) - [Nacho-Flavored Chocolate Bites](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cheesy-chocolate-bites.md) - [Spiced Apple Ice Creams](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-apple-series.md) - [Apple Ice Cream Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ice-cream-series.md) - [Apple-Topped Acai Bowls](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/apple-crisp-bowl.md) - [Candy Bar-Themed Dessert Sauces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/snickers-dessert-sauce.md)
