The highlight of the Apple iMac is its crystal-clear 5,120 x 2,880 5K display, which offers 67% more pixels than 4K TVs. However, despite coming with an extreme high-definition screen, the panel uses efficient LEDs that allow it to be 30% less power-guzzling than older displays. The computer runs on a 3.5 GHz quad core Intel Core i5 processor, offers 8 GB of RAM and a considerable AMD Radeon R9 M290X graphics card. You can even upgrade the computer to feature a 4 GHz quad core Intel Core i7 CPU with 32 GB of RAM and an even better graphics card. This Apple iMac 27-inch model can be yours for $1,799 for a non-Retina display and $2,499 for the Core i5 model. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.2/10 - Popularity: 13% | Activity: 14% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 90% men, 10% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Computers](https://www.trendhunter.com/computers) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Energy-efficient Displays:** The development of energy-efficient displays can lead to cost and energy savings for consumers and businesses alike. - **High-definition Computing:** Incorporating high-definition displays and powerful processors into computing devices can enhance user experiences and improve productivity. - **Sustainable Computing:** Sustainable computing can reduce energy consumption and increase the lifespan of electronic devices, resulting in long-term environmental benefits. ### Who This Affects Most - **Technology:** Incorporating energy-efficient displays and sustainable computing practices can disrupt the technology industry and lead to innovative products and services. - **Energy:** Reducing energy consumption through the use of energy-efficient displays and sustainable computing practices can benefit the energy industry by reducing demand and increasing efficiency. - **Design:** Improving the design of electronic devices to incorporate high-definition displays, powerful processors, and sustainable computing practices can disrupt the design industry and lead to innovative and eco-friendly products. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Ultra-Slender All-in-One Computers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/apple-imac-m3.md) - [Business-Ready All-in-One Computers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/apple-imac-with-m4.md) - [5K Creative Professional Monitors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/apple-studio-display.md) - [Carbon-Neutral Compact Desktops](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/m4-mac.md) - [High-Power Desktop-Friendly Computers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/apple-mac-studio.md) - [Optimized Visual Performance Monitors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/colorpro-5k-monitor.md) - [Ultra-Fast Compact Computers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mac-studio.md) - [Eco-Minded Mini LED Monitors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lenovo-thinkvision.md) - [Data-Drive Workstation Monitors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lg-ultrafine-evo-6k.md)
