The coffee table comes in the form of a set of [nesting tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/interactive-segmented-tables) that are named as a nod to the Italian ritual of sharing a drink before a meal to whet one's appetite. The cheerful tables are constructed with a set of metallic frame supports accented by hand-glazed ceramic tabletops crafted by Bologna-based ceramist Frederica Bubani. Head of Commercial Development Briganti Luca commented on the Aperitivo Coffee Table to [Homecrux](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cocoon-coffee-table) saying, "Aperitivo is designed precisely to use the large ceramic plate as a tray for Aperitivo courses for one’s guests. It is the perfect coffee table set to give a glam touch to your living.” Image Credit: Liu Jo Living ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.6/10 - Popularity: 45% | Activity: 7% | Freshness: 26% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/furniture) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Nesting Furniture Designs:** This modern take on nesting tables emphasizes both functionality and aesthetic appeal, revolutionizing small-space living solutions. - **Ceramic-accented Furniture:** Incorporating hand-glazed ceramics into everyday furniture pieces introduces artisanal quality and unique design elements. - **Entertainment-centric Furniture:** Furniture designed for hosting and serving, such as the Aperitivo Coffee Table, caters to modern social lifestyles and multifunctional spaces. ### Who This Affects Most - **Home Furnishings:** Innovative coffee table designs with special purposes disrupt the traditional home furniture market by combining practicality with style. - **Handcrafted Goods:** The collaboration with artisans like Bologna-based ceramist Frederica Bubani highlights a growing trend toward incorporating handcrafted elements into mass-market products. - **Hospitality Industry:** Furniture pieces designed specifically for entertaining at home reflect broader trends in home-based hospitality solutions, enhancing the consumer experience. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Artful Coffee Table Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vertushka.md) - [Italian Material-Highlighting Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ria-coffee.md) - [Pre-Meal Cocktail Boxes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aperitivo-hour.md) - [Japandi-Style Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cloth-coffee-table.md) - [Triple-Tabletop Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/peel-coffee-table.md) - [Multifunctional Living Room Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aliving-coffee-table.md) - [Modern Customizable Table Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/customizable-table-design.md) - [Luxe Low-Slung Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/attraction-coffee-table.md) - [Crystalline Gem-Like Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/soda-coffee-tables.md)
