# Anti-Theft Umbrellas Mac Funamizu Ensures the Shacklie Will Not Be Stolen By Ayman | Published 2009-06-03 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/anti-theft-umbrella-shacklie References: [likecool](http://www.likecool.com/Shacklie--Design--Gear.html) & [petitinvention.wordpress](http://petitinvention.wordpress.com/2009/05/15/shacklie/) One of Trend Hunter’s favorite concept designers, Mac Funamizu, is back with a handy design that makes a whole lot of sense. Many offices and buildings do not allow bringing in [wet umbrellas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/split-1), and leaving them on the outside rack is just an invitation for someone to steal them. Mr. Funamizu solves this problem with his concept design, the Shacklie. It’s an [umbrella with a handle](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/standpoint) that could be transformed into cuffs. Once you lock it, your umbrella will be a prisoner till you come back.
