Designed by Shu-Hsuan Chang, the Anti-Ants Trashcan is an ingenious [waste bin](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/design-seoul-20) designed to kill ants before they can infest your garbage. The trashcan is designed with a sticky ant pad on the bottom. The ant pad attracts the ants towards your garbage and traps them in the pad. This simple design ensures that you never have to worry about finding [ants crawling all over your garbage](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/auto-san-defender-pro) ever again. It would be great to see this design expanded to trap and kill all bugs. This would greatly reduce the need for [bug traps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zero-bugs) and periodic fumigation. It would also keep people healthier as dirty bugs would no longer be crawling all over their clean dishes and food. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.2/10 - Popularity: 21% | Activity: 38% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Health](https://www.trendhunter.com/health) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Insect-killing Waste Bins:** Opportunity for waste bin designs that target and exterminate various insects, reducing the need for bug traps and fumigation. - **Integrated Pest Control Solutions:** Potential for integrating pest control mechanisms into various household products to keep bugs away from food and dishes. - **Hygienic Bug-free Environments:** Demand for products and services that ensure insect-free spaces, promoting overall health and cleanliness. ### Where This Applies - **Home and Kitchen Supplies:** Opportunity for home and kitchen supply companies to develop insect-killing waste bins and other pest control solutions. - **Pest Control Services:** Pest control providers can explore innovative approaches to offer integrated pest control solutions to households. - **Health and Wellness Products:** Growing demand for bug-free environments creates an opportunity for health and wellness companies to offer hygiene-focused products. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Automated Anti-Odor Trash Cans](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zita-square.md) - [Chic Utilitarian Trash Cans](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/carden-the-twin.md) - [Odorless Compost Kitchen Bins](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mill-kitchen-bin.md) - [Customizable Garbage Cans](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/totem-compact-unit.md) - [Style-Conscious Anti-Insect Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mosqo-bug-zapper.md) - [Tipping Trash Can Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/niko-trash-bin.md) - [Modular Organization Garbage Bins](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kitchen-garbage-bins.md) - [Electric Fly Swatters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fly-insect-trap.md) - [Smart Home Insect Traps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zevo-flying-insect-trap.md)
