Drawing inspiration from a [vinyl turntable](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/amuni-studio), the appliance works by having a piece of bread placed on the preparation surface before positioning the heating arm to toast it. This allows chefs to customize the preparation to their exact specifications instead of trying to make adjustments with [traditional toasters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cuisinart-smart-elite-2slice-toaster), which can prove impossible. The conceptual 'Another Toaster' appliance also allows users to keep a closer eye on the functionality thanks to its [open-air design](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/balmuda-toaster-pro). This will prevent users from overcooking bread, while also helping them conserve energy by only applying the amount of heat that's required. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.3/10 - Popularity: 78% | Activity: 72% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Kitchen](https://www.trendhunter.com/kitchen) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Customizable Kitchen Appliances:** The 'Another Toaster' concept opens up opportunities for customizable kitchen appliances that allow consumers to personalize their cooking experience. - **Open-air Design:** The open-air design trend in kitchen appliances offers enhanced functionality and control, preventing overcooking and conserving energy. - **Inspiration From Unconventional Sources:** Drawing inspiration from unconventional sources, like the vinyl turntable, can lead to innovative and unique designs in kitchen appliances. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Kitchen Appliance Manufacturing:** The kitchen appliance manufacturing industry can explore the development of customizable and open-air designs to meet consumer demands for personalized and energy-efficient products. - **Home Appliances Retail:** Home appliance retailers can benefit from the rise in customizable kitchen appliances and open-air designs, offering consumers a wider range of options to suit their individual needs. - **Product Design:** The field of product design can find opportunities in drawing inspiration from unconventional sources, reimagining everyday appliances with innovative features that enhance functionality and user experience. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Rocking Robotic Toaster Appliances](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/robot-toaster.md) - [Sliding Easy-Access Toasters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/slide-toaster.md) - [Multi-Position Bread Toasters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/taurus-toaster-30.md) - [Precision Touchscreen-Enabled Toasters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tineco-toasty-one.md) - [Touchscreen Interface Smart Toasters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/toasty-one.md) - [Visualized Intelligent Toaster Models](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cuisinart-simplitouch-xl.md) - [Ultra-Thin See-Through Toasters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/graphene-transparent-toaster.md) - [50s-Style Countertop Appliances](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smeg-toaster.md) - [Optic Sensor Smart Toasters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/breville-eye-q-auto.md)
