This upgrade will take "raw data from the scanner and display it as a generic human-formed figure on the monitor of the TSA agent," according to Gizmodo. I can only hope that these anonymous airport security scanners are put into place in time for my next vacation. Even though I haven't yet had to go through one, the idea is so disturbing that this small comfort eases the sense of violation that overcomes me whenever I think about it. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.9/10 - Popularity: 78% | Activity: 91% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [World](https://www.trendhunter.com/world) > [Travel](https://www.trendhunter.com/travel) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Anonymous Airport Security Scanners:** Implementation of anonymous airport security scanners presents an opportunity for enhancing passenger privacy and reducing the potential for inappropriate behavior by TSA workers. - **Enhanced Scanning Software:** Development of upgraded software for airport security scanners allows for the display of generic human-formed figures on monitors, mitigating privacy concerns and protecting decency. - **Increased Transparency in Security Procedures:** Growing demand for transparency in airport security procedures pushes for innovations like anonymous scanners, which address privacy and decency issues, fostering trust and confidence among passengers. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Travel and Tourism:** The implementation of anonymous airport security scanners in the travel and tourism industry ensures enhanced privacy and decency, contributing to a more positive passenger experience. - **Security Solutions:** Companies specializing in security solutions can seize the opportunity to develop and provide upgraded scanning software, catering to the demand for enhanced privacy and decency in airport security. - **Technology and Software Development:** The development and advancement of airport security scanning software offer disruptive innovation opportunities for technology and software development companies, supporting anonymous scanning features. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Aviation-Centric Facial Imaging Apps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/facial-imaging-app.md) - [Eye-Tracking Privacy Apps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/privacy-apps.md) - [Period-Focused Privacy Features](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/anonymous-mode.md) - [Group Face Blurring Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/blur-faces.md) - [Privacy-Focused Uber Features](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/industryfirst-privacy-features.md) - [Axis Security Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/product-design-consultants-developing-a-xray-scanner-system.md) - [Open-Source Blurring Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/opensource-1.md) - [Airport Sleep Stations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/airport-dimensions.md) - [AI-Powered CCTV Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/amazon-9.md)
