# Ribbon Glass Lighting Anna Dawson's Collection Has Ribbon-Shaped Pendants and Hourglass Sconces By Amy Duong | Published 2026-06-09 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/anna-dawson References: [studioannadawson](https://studioannadawson.com/) Anna Dawson presented the Ribbon, Dancer, and Twirl lighting collections at [ICFF](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/misewell), expanding her exploration of movement through [hand-formed glass](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bamboo-forest-glss). Inspired by memories of ribbon dancing with her grandmother, the collection uses curved silhouettes, layered forms, and translucent finishes to translate motion into lighting. Colors including seafoam green, deep burgundy, olive, amber, and warm white shift noticeably when illuminated, emphasizing the material's depth and transparency. The pieces range from table lamps and pendants to wall sconces, each built around soft, flowing geometries. The Ribbon series features overlapping glass elements that resemble folded ribbons, while the Dancer collection introduces symmetrical and asymmetrical hourglass-shaped sconces illuminated from both ends. Twirl interprets the sensation of spinning through rounded lamp forms and suspended fixtures. The collection highlights the relationship between illumination and materiality through forms that change in appearance as light moves through the glass.
