Created for the 2011 edition of Monumenta, this piece came into fruition as Kapoor was invited to do so by the Grand Palais’ French ministry of culture and communication. The exceptional architectural space of the Monumenta measures approximately 13,500 square meters. The installation further embodies a [four-chamber balloon](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/forest-dancer) covered in red light, which aims to evoke cathedral-like qualities. The UK-based artist's great work can be viewed from now until June 23, 2011 at the [Grand Palais in Paris](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-fondation-cartier). ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.1/10 - Popularity: 44% | Activity: 72% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Monumental Installations:** Creating exceptionally large and awe-inspiring installations that serve specific locations and purposes. - **Site-specific Art:** Producing unique works of art designed specifically for particular geographic areas or structures. - **Light Sculptures:** Constructing art installations that utilize various lighting elements to enhance the viewing experience. ### Who This Affects Most - **Art and Sculpture:** Using innovative techniques and varying materials to create remarkable pieces for various venues and locations. - **Tourism and Hospitality:** Incorporating unique and captivating installations to attract and entertain guests. - **Event Production:** Designing event spaces and transforming them with innovative installations to create memorable experiences. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Permanent London Art Installtions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/infinite-accumulation.md) - [Airborne Concert Halls](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/arka-nova.md) - [Monumental Air Installation](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/iwagumi-air-scape.md) - [Artful Meditative Sculptural Caves](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/drawing-on-space.md) - [UK-Based Modern Art Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/relics-in-the-landscape.md) - [Tubed Immersive Organ-Like Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/organlike-installation.md) - [Playful Pop Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/louis-vuitton-octopus.md) - [Eclipse-Themed Rooftop Artworks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/arc-zero.md) - [Gas Rig Art Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/striking-art-installation.md)
