These incredibly [detailed illustrations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/petpic-ai) (most of which are of actual pets) depict various well-known [historical figures as cats and dogs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/taylor-swiftthemed-cats) and allows for a fun introduction to history. While the stories are based on actual historical people and events, Christina Hess does take artistic liberties with the facts in order to allow for a more entertaining read. These stories will span centuries across an animal-centric world and will introduce us to famous historical animals such as Cleopatra, Napoleon Boneapart, Joan of Bark and Kitty Roosevelt. 'Animals from History' is not only a great collection of drawings, but a novel way to [introduce children](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/personalized-christmas-book) (and those of us who cut class) to history. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.5/10 - Popularity: 98% | Activity: 88% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Gen Alpha - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Modern](https://www.trendhunter.com/modern) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Historical Animal Portraits:** Creating art that combines historical figures and animals presents an opportunity for unique and whimsical storytelling. - **Animal-centric World:** Exploring a world where animals take on prominent historical roles opens up possibilities for creative narratives and educational experiences. - **Entertaining Education:** Using art and storytelling to make history more engaging and accessible to children and those with a casual interest in the subject offers opportunities for innovative educational resources. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Children's Books:** The merging of historical figures and animals in storytelling presents a disruptive opportunity for creating captivating children's books that blend education and imagination. - **Art and Illustration:** The demand for unique and visually appealing historical animal portraits, like those created by Christina Hess, can drive opportunities for artists and illustrators in various industries. - **Education and Edutainment:** Developing interactive and entertaining educational materials that use the idea of historical animals can revolutionize how history is taught and engage learners of all ages. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Spooky Charming Pet Portraits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/crown-paw.md) - [Historical Females-Inspired Decor](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/heroines-of-history-coloring-tablecloth.md) - [Personalized Pet Stories](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/4am-stories.md) - [Cat-Friendly Book Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tails-of-irresistibility.md) - [AI-Powered Historical Chat Apps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hello-history.md) - [AI Pet Portraits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/drawmypet.md) - [AI-Powered Cat Analyzers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pharaohs-lost-cat.md) - [AI Pet Portraits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/petpic-ai.md) - [Historical Humankind Coffee Books](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-book.md)
