Whether depicting a [cute canine](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pawfect-chill-time) chasing after a bright neon tennis ball or two polar bears smiling underwater, the images are cheerful and creative. A personal project, Animals by Varya Kolesnikova displays a style slightly different from the artist's previous series of work titled '[Poems for Children](http://www.trendhunter.com/trends/poems-for-children).' Although just as whimsical, Poems for Children had a more fantastical appeal as well as a softer aesthetic. In this series, the animals are sharper with longer torsos than one might be used to seeing. Playful and cartoonish, Animals by Varya Kolesnikova is a series that can be appreciated by just about anyone. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.2/10 - Popularity: 67% | Activity: 22% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Adorable Beast Illustrations:** The cute and creative illustrations by Varya Kolesnikova showcase the trend of adorable beast artwork. - **Whimsical Animal Art:** Varya Kolesnikova's series of animals with a fantastical appeal highlights the trend of whimsical animal artwork. - **Cartoonish Animal Drawings:** The playful and cartoonish style of Varya Kolesnikova's animal illustrations reflects the trend of cartoonish animal drawings. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Art and Design:** The art industry can embrace the trend of adorable beast illustrations to create and market merchandise featuring cute animal artwork. - **Children's Products:** Children's product companies can take advantage of the trend of whimsical animal art to create whimsical and imaginative products for kids. - **Publishing:** The publishing industry can capitalize on the trend of cartoonish animal drawings by featuring them in children's books or magazines. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Playful Cat Illustrations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/open-meow.md) - [Striking Urban Wildlife Art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/clare-allin.md) - [Canadian Animal-Themed Kitchenware](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/our-animals-maple-syrup-jar.md) - [Almost-Extinct Animal Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fauna-series.md) - [Animal-Shaped Luxury Beanbags](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ark-collection.md) - [Unique Hybrid Mystery Figurines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/animal-x-vegetable-gachapon.md) - [AI Pet Portraits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/drawmypet.md) - [Hand-Drawn Cartoon NFTs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/madsteez.md) - [Minimalist Pet-Inspired Decor Items](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/minimal-pets.md)
