Although much more abstract than that will lead people to believe, the overall silhouettes are chock full of adorable personality, which may inspire people to inadvertently start treating them like [real live pets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dog-hut-bed). In a way, furniture is meant to provide comfort, if not necessarily companionship. Designed by Tom Bendkovski of Tomski Design, the animal-like furniture was part of his final project at H.I.T. (Holon Institute of Technology in Israel). The Hosting Hounds collection is comprised of three pieces: a chair, [coffee table and stool](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fossil-furniture). The chair will probably be one of people's favorites since it looks like a dog is humping another dog. The animal-like furniture line is quite risque. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.1/10 - Popularity: 87% | Activity: 58% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Unique](https://www.trendhunter.com/unique) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Animal-inspired Furniture:** Opportunity to create furniture designs that incorporate animal-like features to add more personality and charm. - **Abstract Silhouettes:** Opportunity to design furniture with abstract shapes and silhouettes that evoke emotion and intrigue. - **Anthropomorphized Furniture:** Opportunity to create furniture that resembles animals and elicits an emotional response from users. ### Who This Affects Most - **Furniture Design:** Opportunity for furniture designers to explore unique and whimsical designs that capture the imagination. - **Interior Design:** Opportunity for interior designers to incorporate animal-inspired furniture into spaces, adding a touch of whimsy and playfulness. - **Art and Sculpture:** Opportunity for artists and sculptors to create animal-like furniture pieces that blur the lines between art and functional design. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Curvaceous Animalistic Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bookpet-coffee-table.md) - [Demure Dog House Desks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dog-hut-desk.md) - [Curvaceous Abstract Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pet-table.md) - [Dog Bed-Equipped Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/home-furniture-design.md) - [Posh Pet-Friendly Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/quella-chair.md) - [Posh Pet-Friendly Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nomad-juno.md) - [Modern Pet-Friendly Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/choo-choo.md) - [3d-Printed Modern Dog Houses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dog-hut-side-table.md) - [Multipurpose Pet-Friendly Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wowo-multipurpose-furniture.md)
