Animal Well is an upcoming 2D puzzle-focused platformer game developed by Billy Basso and published by Bigmode, a company founded by YouTuber Dunkey. The game is set in a pixelated world where the player hatches from a flower and explores a mysterious well filled with secrets and creatures.

The game features a dense, atmospheric, puzzle box world with multiple layers of secrets, dynamic items that have multiple uses and let the player manipulate the environment in surprising and meaningful ways, and creatures that are both beautiful and unsettling. The game also has a custom engine/renderer built specifically for pixel art on modern hardware, and an uncommon unpredictability paired with satisfying and intuitive puzzles.

Animal Well is not yet released, but it is expected to be a unique experience that can make the player laugh in fear, surprise, or delight. The game can be wishlisted on Steam or the Nintendo Switch eShop where it will soon release on both platforms.
