# Illusionary Animal Art These Animal Illusions Jump Right Off the Wall By Michael Baxter | Published 2014-05-06 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/animal-illusion References: [notcot.org](http://www.notcot.org/post/57313/) & [whudat.de](http://www.whudat.de/life-sized-drawings-of-animals-that-look-3d-by-fiona-tang-9-pictures/) These [animal illusions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fibredog) are so realistic and well done that if you only took a quick glance you would think they were coming right at you. Fiona Tang created the life-sized pieces using a whole host of materials, including charcoal, chalk and acrylic paint. When you put an [illusionary aspect](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hooptical) into a piece of art it takes on a completely new meaning. These images could have just been [static pieces on a wall](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fraimic), but instead they seem to move and take form on their own, jumping off the wall. The shark cuts roughly through the sea of bricks as it comes directly at the viewer with ferocity and the horse gallops gallantly, rather than being a boring image of a horse on a wall. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.8/10 - Popularity: 35% | Activity: 10% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Illusionary Art:** There is an opportunity for artists or startups to explore the potential of illusionary art using various mediums to create a unique style. - **Life-sized Art:** Artists can explore creating life-sized pieces to enhance the perception of depth and realism in their work. - **Interactive Art:** There is potential to create interactive art pieces that engage the viewer to become part of the experience and explore the limits of their perception. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Art:** Artists and art galleries can explore the potential of illusionary animal art to create unique and engaging experiences for their audiences. - **Interior Design:** Interior designers can incorporate illusionary animal art in their designs to create a sense of playfulness and interest in their spaces. - **Theme Parks:** Theme park designers can incorporate life-sized and interactive art pieces to create immersive experiences that engage visitors and enhance the overall experience. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Paper-Made Mosaic Artwork](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/real-life-architecture-exhibition.md) - [Optical Illusion Replica Artworks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/liberty-science-center.md) - [Kinetic Optical Illusion Puzzles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-woodflow.md) - [Optical Illusion Carpets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-3d-carpet.md) - [Illusion-Inspired Design Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ripples-collection.md) - [Artful Illusory Ads](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/illusion-artwork.md) - [AI-Generated Real-World Transformations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ai-generated-world.md) - [Dynamic Moving-Illusion Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moving-furniture.md) - [Geometric Sculpture Boxes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/illusion-box.md)
