# Plank-Stabbing Kitchen Racks The Angry Chef Towel Stand Decks Cooking Spaces Out Dangerously By Matt Ho | Published 2012-01-13 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/angry-chef-towel-stand References: [neatorama](http://www.neatorama.com/2012/01/10/angry-chef-towel-stand/) & [neatoshop](http://www.neatoshop.com/product/Angry-Chef-Towel-Stand) While the Angry Chef Towel Stand may look threatening at first, its real purpose as a storage item in the kitchen says so otherwise. The Angry Chef Towel Stand is a hilarious [kitchen rack](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ototo-and-everyplate) that depicts a [knife going through a plank](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/caraway-prep-serve-butcher-block). The knife is made out of metal, but it’s not sharpened, so there’s no need to worry about slicing the hand by accident. The blade is also completely embedded into the plank and therefore not removable, but it’s a good indication that it’s a secure piece. The handle will fit any towel going through it and will hold it in place while looking nice and badass at the same time. This should bring a sense of excitement -- or danger -- to anyone’s kitchen. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.3/10 - Popularity: 22% | Activity: 8% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 90% men, 10% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Hilarious Kitchen Racks:** The Angry Chef Towel Stand introduces a trend of hilarious and unconventional kitchen rack designs. - **Secure and Functional Design:** The embedded blade in the Angry Chef Towel Stand sparks a trend for secure yet functional kitchen accessories. - **Exciting Kitchen Decor:** Kitchen decor is getting a boost with the introduction of kitchen racks that add a sense of excitement and danger. ### Who This Affects Most - **Kitchenware:** The Angry Chef Towel Stand is disrupting the kitchenware industry by offering a unique and unconventional design for kitchen racks. - **Home Decor:** The trend of hilarious and exciting kitchen racks opens up opportunities for innovative home decor products. - **Novelty Gift:** The Angry Chef Towel Stand taps into the novelty gift market by offering a quirky and entertaining option for kitchen accessories. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Multifunctional Kitchen Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/latticeboard-multipurpose-kitchen-board.md) - [Eight-in-One Kitchen Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kitchyhub.md) - [Sculptural Towel Holders](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tangled-joe.md) - [Magnetic D2C Knife Blocks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/misen-modular-knife-storage.md) - [Storage-Equipped Restaurant Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rack-chair.md) - [Ultra-Slick Minimalist Knife Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/glass-knife-block.md) - [Portable Knife-Equipped Cutting Boards](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/baca-board.md) - [Stainless Steel Kitchen Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/caraway-kitchen-gadget.md) - [Stainless Steel Kitchen Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/caraway-kitchen-gadgets.md)
