# Sea Creature-Inspired Lighting The Anemona Lamp By Ayman | Published 2008-10-31 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/anemona-lamp-igor-pinigin References: [behance.net](http://www.behance.net/Gallery/ANEMONA-visually-unsteady-lamp) & [igogor.livejournal](http://igogor.livejournal.com/) Anemona is a fun and [interactive lamp](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/interactive-folding-lamp) by designer Igor Pinigin that can change its position. The trick is in the clever construction and the presence of heavy balls in the bottom of the lamp. The Anemona lamp is designed in such a way that it could be dynamically and freely tilted and rotated without losing its balance. Multiples of the lamp can also be used to create a [sculpture-like piece](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/leda). Although Anemona is not in production yet, a [working prototype](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spacetime-transformation-lamp) has been produced and tested and was recently showcased at SaloneSatellite Moscow 2008. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.2/10 - Popularity: 9% | Activity: 19% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/furniture) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Interactive Lighting:** Design interactive lighting fixtures inspired by natural forms for a unique and engaging user experience. - **Dynamic Lamp Design:** Integrate weighted elements into lamp design for greater flexibility and stability in movement. - **Sculptural Lighting:** Create lighting designs that can be used individually or combined for visually striking art installations in public spaces. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Interior Design:** Develop lighting products that fit into modern interior design aesthetics and provide a distinctive atmosphere for spaces. - **Art and Exhibitions:** Incorporate interactive and sculptural lighting designs into art exhibitions to enhance the sensory experience of viewers. - **Hospitality:** Install dynamic and visually striking lighting fixtures in hospitality venues to create an immersive, memorable customer experience. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Umbrella-Inspired Whimsical Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wasaga-lamp.md) - [Artistic Magnetic Lamp Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/scacco-matto-lamp.md) - [Shape-Shifting Modular Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moodi.md) - [Task-Managing Dynamic Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fall-lamp-concept.md) - [Adjustable Sculptural Desk Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ovo-lamp.md) - [Inflatable Mood Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/blow-lamp.md) - [Interactive Lamp Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tangent-lamp.md) - [Interactive Blooming Floor Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bloomlight-s-lamp.md) - [Inflatable Colorful Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/squeeze-inflatable-lamp.md)
