Your cat might like the [iPhone](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moodcamera) photos you snapped last night and retweeted to all your followers, but he's sure to love these antique recreations by Philadelphia-based photography Andrew Pinkham. Taken with a digital camera, manipulated and then printed on canvas, these photos have been made to look like 19th-century paintings and will truly communicate the love and respect you have for your pet. If you're already excited to have your pet immortalized on canvas, you'll be glad to hear that Pinkham takes commissions. And you'll be even happier to hear that Pinkham, an animal lover himself, donates 20 percent of each project's cost to your choice of three animal charities: PAWS, [Philadelphia Greyhound Connection](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/philadelphia-everything-bagel-latte) or the [National Greyhound Adoption Program](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/engaged-couples). ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.9/10 - Popularity: 52% | Activity: 56% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Pets](https://www.trendhunter.com/pets) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Digital Pet Portraits:** Opportunity to create digital portraits of pets that resemble antique paintings, providing a unique and timeless keepsake. - **Personalized Pet Art:** Growing demand for customized art that captures the love and respect for pets, offering an opportunity for artists to cater to this niche market. - **Charitable Art Projects:** Increasing trend of artists supporting animal charities through their artwork, allowing customers to contribute to a good cause while getting a portrait of their pet. ### Who This Affects Most - **Pet Photography:** Pet photographers can offer digital editing services to transform ordinary pet photos into antique-style portraits, tapping into the demand for personalized pet art. - **Art and Design:** Artists specializing in digital manipulation and printing techniques can cater to the growing market seeking unique and customized pet portraits with a vintage aesthetic. - **Animal Charities:** Animal charities can collaborate with artists like Andrew Pinkham to create fundraising opportunities through commissions from pet owners who want their pet portraits while supporting a charitable cause. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [AI Pet Portraits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/drawmypet.md) - [Spooky Charming Pet Portraits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/crown-paw.md) - [AI Pet Portraits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/petpic-ai.md) - [AI Pet Photo Generators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pawfoto.md) - [AI Pet Photography](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pet-lens-ai.md) - [AI-Enhanced Pet Adoption Photos](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/personality-pics.md) - [Personalized Pet Photo Gifts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/personalized-pet-photo.md) - [Pet-Taken Camera Initiatives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/heartography.md) - [Festive Pet Photo-Op Initiatives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/holiday-portraits-of-pets.md)
