# Stacked Cube Dwellings Andres Remy Architects' Casa Orquidea is a Modern Marvel By Ryan Hinkson | Published 2010-04-25 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/andres-remy-architects References: [dezeen](http://www.dezeen.com/2010/04/22/casa-orquidea-by-andres-remy-architects/) & [andresremy](http://www.andresremy.com/) I love [modern architecture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/casa-rwo), especially when a when a project reminds me of something completely unrelated to a home or building. When I saw Andres Remy Architects' [Casa Orquidea](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/casa-del-alma), I was reminded of Wall-E's love interest Eva. This [stacked cube dwelling's](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/binocular-house) white windowed portion looks just like Eva's head to me. Aside from the similarities to an animated robot, I think the design is brilliant and actually very original. Andres Remy Architects' Casa Orquidea is located in Pilar, Buenos Aires and means Orchid House in English. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.0/10 - Popularity: 61% | Activity: 81% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Architecture](https://www.trendhunter.com/architecture) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Modern Cube Dwellings:** Creating modern, original cube dwellings through innovative architecture and design. - **Animated-inspired Architecture:** Incorporating design elements from popular animated films into architectural projects for a unique and visually appealing aesthetic. - **Nature-inspired Dwellings:** Designing homes that seamlessly blend into their natural surroundings, promoting eco-friendly living and sustainability. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Architecture:** Potential for architects to innovate with unique designs and incorporate new aesthetics into their projects. - **Film and Animation:** Opportunity for film and animation professionals to collaborate with architects and influence the design of buildings. - **Sustainability:** Development of eco-friendly and sustainable housing, promoting a green and environmentally conscious lifestyle. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Modern Highland Residential Projects](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/house-in-the-andes.md) - [Pavilion-Style Art Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/galeria-house.md) - [Monolithic Custom Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/casa-catedral.md) - [Burnt Orange Walled Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/casa-magarola.md) - [Sculptural Canteliver Concrete Houses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/casa-del-alma.md) - [Sleek Modular German Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/house-anton-ii.md) - [Plant-Filled Latticed Buildings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/touching-eden-house.md) - [Sustainable Cubic Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/appels-architekten.md) - [Contemporary Stacked Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/everden-residence.md)
