# 10 Anatomically Correct Hearts When Creativity Meets Biology By Cowbag | Published 2008-08-25 | Unique Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/anatomically-correct-hearts-when-creativity-meets-biology-part-one References: [trendhunter](http://www.trendhunter.com) I HEART anatomically correct things and I guess the heart is without question the most important organ in our body. Accordingly, I have spent a happy morning searching down the best anatomically correct hearts for this gallery. **Heart of Gold** - This ‘heart of gold’ is from Fred Flare who also stock this in the traditional red colour. Probably the best gift around to show someone that they have a heart of gold. If you ignore the smiling face it is pretty well spot on biologically. **Heart Soaps** - These are cool, but they would be cooler if they produced red foam (Which might defeat the object of the soap, but would totally rock). **Heart Vases** - It’s always interesting to compare two different takes on the same concept. **[Gummy Sweets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sweet-hearts-valentines-edition)** - Proof biology can be fun - learn about the heart and then eat it. Yummy! **[Candy Heart](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/heartshaped-chocolate-tins)** - This take on the concept is really effective. When I first saw the image from a distance I thought it was crochet and got really excited. **[Heart Necklace](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/valentines-day-jewelry1)** - So cute! The locket design means you can put a picture of your loved one in it so they always have a place in your heart (sic). There are many other examples to choose from in the same vein but I think this is the best. **Heart Pudding** - This is way too cool but I don’t think I would be able to stomach eating it, would want to, or would make one that looked like this. This comes from the ever awesome [instructables](http://www.instructables.com) site where you can find out how to make your own. **Heart Tattoo** - What were they thinking! You might as well tattoo I am strange on your forehead. I am sure the artistic spurting of the blood is particularly effective when aiming to repel women. **Crochet Heart** - This is by far my favourite example. There are also [intructions](http://images.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=http://blogs.hgtv.com/hgtv/crafts/anatomical) on how to make one for you loved one. **Heart Cookies** - You would have to be pretty messed to make these anatomically correct cookies. I guess that is why I love them :-) Technically the least biologically correct but, hey. it IS a cookie. **Wire Heart** - This example comes from the blog of J.Kobvach who says, “This is my baby, a fairly anatomically correct human heart constructed out of galvanized wire. In the end, the veins and arteries will form a 12 by 12 cube.” Here ends part one of my quest to cluster the best anatomically hearts around. The exciting news is I have found so many awesome things I am going to do a part 2… ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.2/10 - Popularity: 76% | Activity: 42% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Unique](https://www.trendhunter.com/unique) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Anatomically Correct Home Decor:** Opportunity for disruptive innovation in home decor industry with anatomical heart vases and heart-shaped decorations. - **Anatomical Education Through Fun Products:** Opportunity for disruptive innovation in educational toy industry with gummy sweets, heart cookies, and heart-shaped soaps that teach biology in a fun way. - **DIY Anatomical Crafts:** Opportunity for disruptive innovation in crafting industry with instructional videos and DIY kits for making anatomically correct crochet hearts, wire hearts, and heart-shaped pudding. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Home Decor:** Anatomically correct heart vases and heart-shaped decor offer opportunities for unique product differentiation and niche marketing. - **Educational Toys:** Fun and educational anatomically correct gummy sweets, heart cookies, and soaps offer opportunities to gain entry into a unique and growing market segment. - **Crafting:** DIY kits and instructional videos for anatomically correct crafting products such as crochet and wire hearts and heart-shaped pudding offer an opportunity for unique branding and product differentiation. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Mechanical Heart Puzzle Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/motorized-beating-heart.md) - [Anatomical Plush Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/giant-skull-with-hidden-organs.md) - [Valentine’s Day Shower Products](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/strawberry-heart.md) - [Health Object Art Exhibitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/out-of-orifice.md) - [Smart Heart-Shaped Pendants](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bond-heart-necklace.md) - [Heart-Shaped Jewelry Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/heartshaped-jewelry.md) - [Surreal Love-Themed Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/joakim-ojanen.md) - [Heart-Themed Cookware Capsules](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/le-creuset-5.md) - [Cherry-Beet Chocolates](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/beeting-heart.md)
