A team of scientists from five european countries are rapidly changing science fiction into science fact. Their mission: To design the first [anthropomimetic](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tron-2) (what a mouthful) robot. ECCEROBOT (Embodied Cognition in a Compliantly Engineered Robot) is one of the latest creations made to mimic [human movement](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/advanced-humanoid).

ECCEROBOT utilizes plastic bones, kite line and elastics to realistically imitate [human tissues](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/httpswwwmediamitedu), but it doesn’t stop there. This freakishly anatomical machine is being designed to cognitively interact with its environment. An endeavor that would make science fiction guru Issac Asimov proud.
