# Convenient Fusion Synthesizers This Parva Blends the Best of Digital and Analog Synthesizers By Rahul Kalvapalle | Published 2015-04-13 | Tech Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/analog-synthesizer References: [gizmag](http://www.gizmag.com/futuresonus-parva-analog-digital-synth/36953/) & [kickstarter](https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/futuresonus/parva-polyphonic-analog-synthesizer) The Parva is a [polyphonic analog synthesizer](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/phase8), manufactured by Texas-based 'futuresonus', that is looking to make debates about the supremacy of analog versus digital formats obsolete. This synth comes with eight voices, each of which comes with its own oscillators and filters for maximum manipulation and creation of unique sounds. It is claimed to be the first ever analog synth to come with a USB master port. The synths, which will be [hand-assembled in Texas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/working-synth), are currently the subject of a [Kickstarter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/analog-effects-pedal) campaign. A pledge of $999 sounds like a reasonable sum to pay for synth enthusiasts. The synth's designer Brad Ferguson sums up the device's appeal by positioning it as an attempt to produce "a completely new synth while still maintaining the character of the classics from the 70s and 80s." ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.8/10 - Popularity: 32% | Activity: 73% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Analog-digital Fusion Synthesizers:** Creating synthesisers that blend the best of analog and digital technology will provide greater flexibility and options for professional musicians and producers. - **Polyphonic Synthesizers:** Exploring the creation of new-generation polyphonic synthesizers can provide an exciting customer experience and help create new soundscapes and music genres. - **Usb-compatible Analog Synthesizers:** Designing new synthesisers that feature a USB Master port and are fully compatible with digital audio workstations could cater to the needs of modern musicians and music production companies ### Sectors Adopting This - **Musical Instruments:** Companies in the musical instrument industry can focus on producing innovative fusion synthesizers that offer greater sound options and greater flexibility for musicians and producers. - **Music Production:** Manufacturers catering to the music production industry can develop polyphonic synthesizers and usb-compatible synthesizers that can expand the types of tools and sounds in music production. - **Electronic Engineering:** Electronic engineering companies may investigate new synthesisers that combine modern and classic sounds, integrating these with ease of use for beginners and professionals alike. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Expressive Hardware Synths](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-regen.md) - [Acoustic Synthesizer Prototypes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/korg-berlin.md) - [Miniature Modern Portable Synths](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/minimoog.md) - [Portable Digital Instruments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/synth-pro-x.md) - [Quirky Strummable Synths](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/electronic-synth.md) - [Versatile Playback Audio Synths](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/microfreak.md) - [Compactly Portable Theremins](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/theremins.md) - [Multifunctional Analog Effects Pedals](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/analog-effects-pedal.md) - [Stealthy Portable Synthesizers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/opxy.md)
