While alpacas may seem like an odd addition to a wedding ceremony, couples in Japan are eager to have the fluffy animals at their side as they exchange vows. The Hotel Epinard Nasu is located next to a zoo and recently coordinated a promotional deal where couples can [rent out animals for their ceremony](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/invitin). For a fee, couples can hire an alpaca to walk down the aisle with a dedicated trainer. The trainer will then handle the animal while wedding photos are being taken. While the idea of an alpaca at a wedding may seem bizarre, it is worth noting that many couples have found unique ways of incorporating pets into their special day. Whether it's a dog, a cat or even an alpaca, animals are becoming a more common fixture at contemporary wedding ceremonies. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.3/10 - Popularity: 67% | Activity: 83% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Pets](https://www.trendhunter.com/pets) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Incorporating Animals in Weddings:** Opportunity to offer unique wedding services that include the presence of animals such as alpacas, dogs, and cats. - **Customized Wedding Experiences:** Potential to create personalized wedding experiences by allowing couples to rent out unique elements like alpacas. - **Rise of Unconventional Wedding Trends:** Increasing demand for non-traditional wedding elements, such as having animals like alpacas at the ceremony, shows the growing desire for distinctive celebrations. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Wedding Planning Services:** Wedding planners and event organizers can consider adding animal rental services to their offerings for couples seeking unique wedding experiences. - **Zoos and Animal Sanctuaries:** Zoos and animal sanctuaries can explore partnerships with wedding venues to provide animal rental services, contributing to their revenue stream. - **Pet Care and Training:** Companies specializing in pet care and training can tap into the wedding industry by providing dedicated trainers and well-behaved animals for rentals at ceremonies. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Pet-Specific Wedding Apparel](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chewy-2.md) - [Mobile Weenie Wedding Chapels](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mobile-wedding-chapel.md) - [Pop-Up Outdoor Weddings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chaco-wedding.md) - [Unique Hotel Wedding Packages](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/karisma-hotels-resorts.md) - [Vegas-Themed Wedding Packages](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vegasthemed-wedding-package.md) - [Wedding Guest Outfit Rentals](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/by-rotation-and-airbnb.md) - [Wedding Crasher Weddings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wedding-crasher-wedding.md) - [Rentable Wedding Florals](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rentable-wedding-bouquets.md) - [Wedding-Ready Dog Kits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/happy-furever-after-kit.md)
