# Collapsing Cityscapes Amy Casey Paints Surreal Cities By Michael Hines | Published 2010-01-07 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/amy-casey References: [amusingplanet](http://www.amusingplanet.com/2009/05/amy-caseys-paintings-of-falling-cities.html) & [amycaseypainting](http://www.amycaseypainting.com/) Amy Casey had a dream and decided to paint it instead of turning it into a cheesy over-the-top [Hollywood](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/marilyn-monroe-barbie) adventure movie. She dreamed about the end of the world. Her dream was complete with buildings falling around and everything turning into dust and rubble. We may be deprived of an epic movie, but what we do get are epic paintings of falling cities. These paintings are simple and seem to reflect Amy Casey’s dream perfectly. Each city is precariously close falling down or has already started to collapse.
