This is located in Beijing, China, and is made with "inclusivity as a priority." The design studio speaks about the project to Dezeen, stating "The Amoeba Public Restroom is designed with inclusivity as a priority, whether people are families with kids, have disabilities or are gender non-conforming. The cohesive space places an emphasis on inclusion rather than segregation." The building is located in Manchan Park and the new facility is part of a complex that also features sculptures, performance spaces, markets, and a gallery. It is made from a single sinuous stucco wall that opens up to [individual stalls and sink areas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/antao). ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.6/10 - Popularity: 29% | Activity: 2% | Freshness: 16% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Irregular-shaped Architecture:** The Amoeba Public Restroom showcases the trend of using irregular shapes in architectural designs, creating visually striking and unique structures. - **Inclusive Design:** With inclusivity as a priority, the Amoeba Public Restroom highlights the trend of designing spaces that cater to diverse needs, such as families with children, people with disabilities, and gender non-conforming individuals. - **Emphasis on Cohesion:** The cohesive space concept behind the Amoeba Public Restroom demonstrates the trend of creating environments that encourage inclusivity and unity rather than segregation. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Architecture:** The irregular-shaped architecture trend seen in the Amoeba Public Restroom presents opportunities for architects and designers to explore unique and visually captivating structures. - **Construction:** The inclusive design trend exemplified by the Amoeba Public Restroom inspires the construction industry to incorporate accessibility and inclusivity features in public facilities. - **Urban Planning:** The focus on cohesive spaces in the Amoeba Public Restroom highlights an opportunity for urban planners to create inclusive public environments that foster a sense of unity and togetherness. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Enclosed Japanese Park Toilets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/toiletowa.md) - [Light-Filled Public Restrooms](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vivid-toilet-interior.md) - [Contemporary Public Bathhouses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/round-about-baths.md) - [Organic Spiral Pavilions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pasona-natureverse-pavilion.md) - [Billowing Modular Art Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/curly-cube.md) - [Illuminated Public Artful Toilets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hiroo-east-park.md) - [Wave-Like Structural Art Centers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zibo-oct.md) - [Factory-Converted Revived Spaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/porcelain-factory-plugin-revival.md) - [White-Ceramic Striped Facade Buildings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jomoo.md)
